Surveillance video shows moments before car hits woman in Chollas View

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego County Crime Stoppers released Thursday surveillance video of a hit-and-run crash in Chollas View to find the driver.

The 63-year-old woman was walking across 47th St. at 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 23 when she was hit by a dark gray Toyota Corolla.

The woman was thrown into the air. The driver left the area and was last seen heading south on 47th St. towards Imperial Ave.

Police said the woman had serious injuries including a fractured left and right tibia and fibula, fractured right femur, fractured right hip, and brain bleed. She is expected to survive.

Investigators would like to speak with any witnesses who may have information about the suspect’s vehicle.

Police said it is a dark grey 2014 to 2016 model Toyota Corolla. It is missing its passenger side mirror and would have damage to its front bumper, hood, and windshield. There is no description of the driver.
