SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Like in any other city across the country, San Diegans can have issues with their neighbors from time to time, but a new study lays out the reasons residents in America’s Finest City have gripes about their neighbors.
In a study conducted by home improvement company ImproveNet, San Diego ranks 10th among 24 major U.S. cities when it comes to having the most annoying neighbors.
Dallas has the most annoying neighbors in America, while Minneapolis has the least annoying neighbors among the cities surveyed, the study shows.
But what makes for an annoying neighbor? ImproveNet listed 36 factors, such as loud pets, general grumpiness and loud sex, and provided which city was the worst in each category.
ImproveNet found the top neighbor annoyance was loud music, with Houston being the worst city, followed by Miami.
San Diego claimed the top spot in property damage (22nd-ranked annoyance) and obstructed view (33rd).
Improvenet asked those they surveyed whether they have confronted a neighbor over an annoyance and San Diego is in the top 3 when it comes to “most confrontational cities.”
The study, in which 2,500 adult residents were surveyed, was conducted in August 2018.
