SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - This weekend Californians who use Electronic Benefit Transfer will not be able to use the service for a 24-hour period between 11:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23 and 11:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24.
EBT's customer service phone line will also be offline during the same timeframe.
There will be a service outage because the state is transitioning from the current EBT vendor to a new vendor.
EBT's website will also be down from 10:00 p.m. Friday, June 22 until 11 p.m. June 24.
It is suggested that cardholders take care of any shopping needs ahead of the outage.
