SAN DIEGO - A man was arrested on suspicion of severely beating his elderly father with a crowbar at a Clairemont home.
Police said the unidentified man called 911 at around 11 p.m. Thursday from a home in the 5500 block of Diane Ave.
Emergency responders arrived at the home and rushed the 87-year-old father to Sharp Memorial Hospital. His condition is unknown.
Officers arrested the son when he walked out of the home.
Police said the son will be charged with assault with a deadly weapon and elder abuse.
