A 62-year-old bicyclist suffered a possible broken leg Wednesday morning when a big rig struck him on a South Bay freeway onramp.
The accident on the connector from Main Street to southbound Interstate 805 in Chula Vista occurred about 8:15 a.m., according to police.
Medics took the victim, a San Diego resident whose name was withheld, to UCSD Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Lt. Phil Collum said.
Officers closed the freeway entrance while investigating the crash. It was open again by shortly before 10 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
