San Diego police and the California Highway Patrol conducted a DUI/license checkpoint in Pacific Beach that netted seven arrests and eight impounded cars, a police officer said Saturday.
The DUI stop was conducted in the 2600 block of Ingraham Street from 11:12 p.m. Friday until 3 a.m. Saturday, according to San Diego police Officer Mark McCullough.
A total of 844 vehicles were screened, McCullough said. Ten drivers were detained. Seven motorists were arrested for suspected driving under the influence and eight vehicles were impounded.
