SDPD arrests assault and hate crime suspect in Logan Heights

SAN DIEGO (KGTV)--San Diego Police arrested 24-year-old Albert Campos in Logan Heights on suspicion of a hate crime against an African-American man April 15.

Police said Campos battered the victim and yelled racial slurs.  The victim sustained a significant injury to his ear that required surgery.

The San Diego Police Central Division's Crime Suppression Team identified Campos as the suspect May 18.  Two days later, officers arrested Campos outside his home on Julian Ave.
