UPDATE, Nov. 21, 2016, 7:30 a.m.: Prudencio Rivera was located in Mexico by his family members.
SAN DIEGO (CNS) - San Diego police were asking for the public's help in locating a missing 56-year-old Alzheimer's patient.
Prudencio "Pedro" Rivera of San Francisco was visiting family at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at 1732 Howard Avenue, police said. He walked away on foot in an unknown direction.
He was carrying his cellphone but no personal identification, police said. Rivera does not know how to use public transportation.
Rivera is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a green baseball hat, light brown plaid long-sleeve shirt, black hooded sweatshirt and khaki pants.
Anyone with information on Rivera's whereabouts was asked to call San Diego police at (619) 531-2000.
