SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- A San Diego County psychiatrist was found not guilty Thursday of sexual battery and having sex with a patient.

Leon Fajerman, 75 was previously taken into custody earlier in May on suspicion of the charges.

Earlier court records filed in September of 2017 showed that Fajerman assaulted three female patients.

Among the charges against Fajerman was a violation of Business and Professional Code 729(a).

The code details that any physician, psychiatrist or counselor who has sexual relations with a patient or terminates a relationship with a patient for the purpose of having sexual contact is guilty of sexual exploitation.

Fajerman surrendered his medical license in May of 2018 after the complaints were turned in to the Medical Board of California.
