SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - San Diego Police arrested one man Thursday in connection with a robbery and assault in Valencia Park.
Officers learned the men who assaulted the victim in his home also took his 2006 black Lexus, said police.
A Mid-City patrol officer saw the car Thursday afternoon and tried to pull it over. The driver failed to stop and the officer started a pursuit which ended when the Lexus hit a parked car on Home Ave. The driver was taken into custody, police said.
During the pursuit, a patrol car struck a fence. No one was hurt.
Officers believe there were several other people in the Lexus who ran into the canyon. Police searched the area but were unable to located additional suspects.
Police said a handgun was in the Lexus when it was stolen. It has not been recovered.
