San Diego disaster medical team returns from Houston

Posted

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - On Thursday morning, San Diego members of the Disaster Medical Assistance Team CA-4 (DMAT-CA4) returned home from Houston.

For two weeks they helped treat flood victims with serious medical needs.

The team is made up of doctors, nurses, paramedics and other specialists, dedicated to helping those in need.

With the threat of Hurricane Irma, some team members could be deployed again sooner than expected.

The team is looking for new members so they can continue answering the call to help in future disasters.
