Union Bank’s ATMs and online banking service were off the grid for most of Tuesday, sparking concern about security.
Union Bank customers were both frustrated and worried that maybe a hack had occurred.
Paul Leonard told 10News, "I'm concerned that somebody's done something they know about; they're not telling us and who knows what it is so that's why they're not letting anybody use the machine."
Madilyn Cerola described being boxed in. "I'm just halted. I can't go to my bank account to pull out money because it's at zero. I can't go to the grocery store so it's very concerning."
Union Bank announced that all services were restored by 6 p.m. PST.
“We had experienced an unanticipated delay within our internal overnight processing that affected various systems. The issue has been resolved and customers can resume all banking activities. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers.”
