A reward of up to $1,000 was offered Tuesday for information that leads to the arrest of whoever stole 43 laptops from San Miguel Elementary School in Lemon Grove late last month.
The Dell Chromebook laptops, which were valued at $12,000, were taken from a storage shed off San Miguel Avenue sometime April 27 or 28, according to the sheriff's department and Crime Stoppers.
Authorities said the computers only work when connected to the school's wireless Internet, and display "Property of the Lemon Grove School District" when turned on.
