MELBOURNE, Fla. - President Trump is holding a rally in Melbourne, Fla., Saturday, as a way to sidestep the media and speak directly to his supporters, according to a White House spokesperson.
The rally comes after a rough week, involving an extended news conference where the president lashed out at multiple media outlets and two of his choices for national security advisor fell through. Despite this, President Trump has maintained that his administration is running like a "fine-tuned machine."
"So he can do that very easily by taking the stage and talking directly to the people of America, addressing their concerns and being able to properly express exactly what he's doing and what his administration has done over the last month," Sanders said of the president's rally decision on Air Force One to reporters.
