(KGTV) - Over $800 million in lottery jackpots are up for grabs this week, starting with Wednesday night's $282 million Powerball drawing.
The lump-sum cash option for the Powerball jackpot is $161.1 million, or winners can choose 30 payments over 29 years.
Those looking to purchase Powerball tickets will have until 7 p.m., with the drawing set for 7:59 p.m. Pacific time.
Meanwhile, the Mega Millions jackpot continues to swell, hitting a whopping $548 million. The lump-sum cash option is an estimated $309 million.
The next Mega Millions drawing is Friday, Oct. 12, at 8 p.m. Pacific time. Anyone who wants in on the drawing will have to buy their tickets by 7:45 p.m. on the night the numbers are revealed.
While there's always a chance you'll be lucky enough to win, the odds are heavily against it.
LotteryUSA.com says the odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1-in-302.6 million. The odds of hitting the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
