SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- It’s no secret that the Thanksgiving holiday is one of the busiest times of year to travel, but a number of San Diegans, according to a new survey, say they don’t plan on going out of town at all this Thanksgiving.
According to a survey conducted by SurveyUSA, 59 percent of those surveyed say they don't plan on traveling out of town for Thanksgiving while 35 percent said they do plan to travel out of town. Who could blame them with all the beautiful beaches, perfect sunsets and warm temperatures expected this weekend.
Out of those who said they’d be traveling for the holiday, 78 percent said they plan on taking a car while only 20 percent said they are planning to fly.

When asked how far those surveyed will be traveling this Thanksgiving, 55 percent said they’d be traveling more than 100 miles.
