Trump spending Easter weekend in Florida amid North Korea, Middle East issues
-- As tension increases around the world, most notably in North Korea, the president will be at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida for the weekend.

Trump's trip to Florida, his seventh since taking office in January, coincides with a closely watched anniversary in North Korea, where analysts have said the rogue regime may be preparing for a sixth nuclear test.

President calls non-nuclear bombing in Afghanistan "another successful job"
-- The president called Thursday's Afghanistan bombing "another successful job," but it's not yet known if the decision was made directly by Trump.

The bombing comes on the heels of last week's airstrike on an airbase in Syria -- military action that was prompted by a chemical attack carried out by the Syrian regime against its citizens.

The U.S. non-nuclear bombing was the largest of its kind to date.

On Twitter, Afghanistan President Ashraf Ghani approved of Thursday's bombing, saying it was "designed to support the efforts of the Afghan National Security Forces (ANSF) and US forces ... conducting clearance operations in the region."

Trump administration will no longer publish WH visitor logs
-- White House visitor logs will no longer be available for public view, according to a decision made by President Trump's administration.

The decision was made in light of the "grave national security risks and privacy concerns of the hundreds of thousands of visitors annually," said White House Communications Director Michael Dubke.

He said the administration would instead follow a legal precedent based on a 2013 court ruling that determined visitor logs were presidential records and not subject to the Freedom of Information Act.

Suspect who sent anti-government manifesto to Trump captured
-- Following a nationwide manhunt, a man accused of stealing numerous weapons from a Wisconsin gun store and making threats against schools has been captured.

Joseph Jakubowski also mailed a 161-page manifesto to President Donald Trump, according to authorities.

Jakubowski has been on the run for more than a week after allegedly stealing 18 guns, two silencers and ammunition from a Janesville store.

Kitchen at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort cited for health violations
-- The kitchen at President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida received 13 health violations during an inspection earlier this year, according to CNN, citing a Miami Herald report .

The president's Palm Beach resort was inspected in January by the state's Division of Hotels and Restaurants, and the violations included three labeled "high priority."

According to the CNN report, two of those were related to keeping raw meat -- such as the beef at the heart of Trump's beloved meatloaf -- in walk-in and reach-in coolers that were set above the mandated maximum temperature of 41 degrees.
