Police search for attempted rapist near SDSU

SAN DIEGO (KGTV)  — Police are searching for a man who attempted to rape a woman near the San Diego State University campus. 

It happened on the 5700 block of Montezuma Road Wednesday around 10:45 am. 

Police said the victim, a non-SDSU student, was sitting in her car when the man opened the front passenger door and sat inside.

The man grabbed the victim and immediately started touching her inappropriately.

Police said when the man noticed people walking towards the car, he ran westbound towards University Towers. 

The victim received minor injuries. 

Police said the suspect is described as a Caucasian male adult in his 40’s, 6’0”, brown wavy hair, full beard with gray in it, wearing a black t-shirt with white writing on it.
