A 32-year-old limo driver was shot and wounded Sunday morning in the Mountain View area by a shotgun wielding assailant, a San Diego police officer said.
The attack took place about 2:15 a.m. at the intersection of 40th and Teak streets, SDPD Officer Robert Heims said.
The driver was dropping off his passengers when a man walked up to his limo and opened fire with a shotgun. The driver was hit in his left arm and transported to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Heims said.
The male suspect then fled the scene.
A motive for this attack was unknown.
The attack remained under investigation by SDPD gang detectives, Heims added.
