One person was detained in connection with a reported sexual assault of a young girl in the Mountain View area.
Police said the girl, said to be 14 years old, was attacked by a group of men at a park in the 4000 block of Ocean View Boulevard at about 10 p.m. Sunday.
Witnesses say the girl appeared to be drunk and "out of it" when she was pulled into the dark park and assaulted. Some witnesses rushed to help and chased the men away.
Officers took one of the men into custody, San Diego police confirmed.
There is no immediate word on the girl's condition.
