San Diego police are investigating the suspicious death of a man found on a pedestrian bridge in the Midtown area.
Police said the discovery was reported Friday just after 10 a.m. on the bridge along the 2900 block of Kettner Boulevard.
The white man, who appeared to be in his 50s, suffered trauma to his upper torso, police said.
The man died at the scene despite lifesaving efforts by responding officers and medical crews.
SDPD's Homicide Unit detectives are investigating the death, but no cause of death has been determined.
Police said the victim's identity is known but will not be released until family is notified.
