SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - An elderly woman died after being struck by a vehicle on a busy Clairemont street Thursday.
The crash was reported shortly before 10:30 a.m. in the 5900 block of Balboa Avenue, near Mount Abernathy Avenue, on the eastbound side, according to San Diego police.
The incident was initially reported as a hit-and-run, but police confirmed to 10News just before 12 p.m. that a vehicle involved in the crash had pulled over in a nearby strip mall parking lot.
Police blocked off a section of Balboa Avenue due to the investigation.
