Police: Argument ends with man shot in leg

Posted

A man who was angry over a previous argument went to a man's house and shot him in the leg after another fight outside a home in the Bay Terraces neighborhood, police said Monday.

The suspect went to the victim's residence in the 7800 block of Paradise Valley Road about 9:15 p.m. Sunday, apparently to rehash a previous argument, according to a San Diego police statement.

The two men began arguing again, it said. The victim eventually stepped outside to continue the fight and the suspect pulled out a handgun and shot him in a leg.

The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the statement said. The suspect fled the scene before police arrived.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his 30s, 6 feet 5 and around 250 pounds, police said. Anyone with information on his whereabouts was urged to call San Diego police at (619) 531-2000.
