SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. -- A pilot was killed when a small plane crashed in San Bernardino County Tuesday morning.
The FAA told KABC that a Piper PA-28 flying from Upland to Riverside was reported missing at around 5 a.m.
Sometime before 6:30 a.m., the wreckage of the plane was found in the San Antonio Heights community of San Bernardino County, KABC reported.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department later confirmed that the male pilot had died. His name was not immediately released.
The circumstances of the crash were not immediately known.
