SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A person was found dead off westbound Interstate 8 in the Midway area Wednesday morning, and the investigation into the pedestrian's death has caused a traffic backup in the area.
The body discovery was reported shortly before 6 a.m. on the westbound side of I-8, near Taylor Street.
Authorities said the unidentified person was struck by a vehicle, which stopped near the scene following the collision.
All affected westbound lanes, and the Taylor St. onramp to westbound I-8, were reopened just after 8:30 a.m.
