SAN DIEGO -- A paraglider who hit a cliff near the Torrey Pines Gliderport Sunday afternoon suffered traumatic injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, according to a spokesperson with San Diego Fire & Rescue.
The man, between 45 and 65 years old, was taken to Scripps La Jolla Hospital, SDFR's Lee Swanson added. His condition was not confirmed.
A SDFR crew rescued the man, who hit a cliff 300 feet north of the gliderport at 2800 Torrey Pines Scenic Drive.
No further details were available.
