One person was killed and three others, including an infant, were injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle, head-on collision east of San Diego.
The crash was reported about 4:15 p.m. on state Route 94 near Dulzura, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Mary Bailey.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene and one of the injured was airlifted to a hospital, Bailey said, but it was not immediately clear if that was the infant.
The other two injured patients were taken from the scene via ground ambulance, she said.
CalFire rescue crews responded to the crash, Bailey said.
Route 94, also known as Campo Road in that area, was closed until about 6:50 p.m., the officer said.
