SAN DIEGO - An assailant believed to be a male teen stabbed a transient during a confrontation at San Diego City College Friday afternoon, authorities reported.
The assault near the M200 Building at the East Village campus occurred about 1:15 p.m., according to San Diego Community College District officials.
Medics took the victim to a hospital for treatment of wounds of undisclosed severity, SDCCD spokeswoman Heidi Bunkowske said.
Campus police searched the Park Boulevard college and surrounding areas for the assailant, who appeared to be about 14 years old and was wearing black shorts, a black T-shirt and a hat with a Batman logo on it.
