An Oceanside man returned home at midmorning to find a burglar ransacking his house Monday, and was threatened at gunpoint before the suspect fled, according to police.
The homeowner called Oceanside police at 10:11 a.m. to report the robbery in the 4900 block of Overlook Dr., according to Officer Ryan Keim. The homeowner was not injured.
The burglar was described as being about 6-feet tall, wearing dark pants, a red shirt and a bandana and carrying a handgun. He fled on foot in an unknown direction, with an unknown amount of the victim's property, Keim said.
