SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Amid dangerous heat, a power outage left more than 1,000 North County customers without service Monday afternoon.
Roughly 1,200 San Diego Gas & Electric customers in Rancho Santa Fe, Fairbanks Ranch, and San Elijo were affected at the height of the outage, which was reported just before 12 p.m.
SDG&E originally estimated full restoration by 2:30 p.m. to the remaining 449 customers but delayed restoration until midnight.
The cause of the power outage was under investigation.
