GE Healthcare was in San Diego Monday giving people a sneak peek at a new mammography machine.
It was designed by women for women to be more comfortable.
There's rounded corners and it's made from material designed to be warmer to the touch.
"It's the first mammography unit that actually offers a patient assisted compression device which allows the patient to take a more active role in the compression with the help of the technologist," said GE spokesperson Julie Blaha
Blaha says there's also features designed to help technicians do their jobs more effectively.
The new machine is expected to be available at locations in San Diego by early next year.
