(KGTV) - The Toronto Raptors-Golden State Warriors NBA Finals matchup is sure to produce many heroic moments, but Chipotle may already be the star of the series.
The fast-casual restaurant chain says they are giving away free burritos/entrées during the NBA Finals -- with the important keyword being “free.”
The unique rules, according to Chipotle: “During each such broadcast, when a principal play-by-play announcer, color commentator, or network sideline reporter says the word ‘free’ on-air from the game venue, a message will be posted to the @chipotletweets Twitter handle. The message will include an alphanumeric code and identify the number of free entrée offers that are available.”
Once the code is tweeted, users can then text the code to 888222 to get the offer.
Chipotle says the promotion is “limited to the first 20 on-air mentions of the word ‘free’ per game.”
During the first half of each NBA Finals game, Chipotle will have 500 entries for each mention of “free.” During the second half, there will be 1,000 for each mention of “free.”
Chipotle is reportedly expecting to give out $1 million worth of free food during the Finals.
