DALLAS, Texas — Some Southwest Airlines passengers were possibly exposed to measles in August.
According to KRTK, the airline contacted travelers who shared a flight with a passenger who was later diagnosed with measles.
The Southwest flights impacted by this incident are:
Flight #5: Service between Dallas (Love Field) and Houston on August 21.
Flight #9: Service between Houston and Harlingen on August 21.
Flight #665: Service between Harlingen and Houston on August 22.
Flight #44: Service between Houston and Dallas (Love Field) on August 22.
The health department told KTRK, the patient is from north Texas and did not visit any airport restaurants or leave the airport on days of travel. The individual stayed in a waiting area in the airport.
- Dry cough
- Runny nose
- Sore throat
- Inflamed eyes (conjunctivitis)
- Tiny white spots with bluish-white centers on a red background found inside the mouth on the inner lining of the cheek — also called Koplik's spots
- A skin rash made up of large, flat blotches that often flow into one another
