A respected British theater producer just lit a barrel of wildfire under some "Game of Thrones" fans.

In an op-ed article for the English theatrical publication The Stage, Richard Jordan called a crowd filled with apparent fans of the HBO show "the worst audience" he's ever sat with for a production.

The audience was attending a production of Christopher Marlowe's classic play "Doctor Faustus," which starred "Game of Thrones" actor Kit Harrington. Harrington plays Jon Snow in the popular HBO series.

The staging in question happened last week at a theater in Britain's famed West End, which is England's version of Broadway.

Jordan claimed some audience members were eating McDonald's Chicken McNuggets and french fries during the production and others were loudly "chomping" on potato chips. He also said several audience members were talking throughout the production and "complained when asked to stop."

According to Jordan, many audience members were filming the play on their smartphones in an attempt to get shots of Harrington. He called it "some of the most blatant use of mobile phones to record video and take pictures I have witnessed. The ushers tried their best to stop it, but in the end just gave up," Jordan wrote on Tuesday.
