MASON, Ohio -- A baby left in a vehicle in a parking lot in Mason, Ohio, a suburb of Cincinnati, died Wednesday afternoon, the Journal-News reported.
A Mason Fire Department lieutenant said fire crews were called around 5 p.m. to a report of a "non-breather" in the Proctor and Gamble parking lot on Mason-Montgomery Road. The baby, a 15-month-old girl, was discovered dead in the back seat.
"We are aware of a tragic accident that took place on the campus of P&G’s Mason Business Center earlier today," P&G said in a statement. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the affected family. We are providing our full support and cooperating with local officials."
Spokesman Damon D. Jones said the parking lot in which the vehicle was discovered is accessible to both employees and non-employees during business hours.
