Actress Emma Watson is taking legal action after hackers allegedly leaked some of her private photos online.
According to Time and other sources, those images – though they do not include nudity – appeared online without Watson’s permission.
"Photos from a clothes fitting Emma had with a stylist a couple of years ago have been stolen," Watson’s publicist explained in an e-mail to Time. "They are not nude photographs. Lawyers have been instructed and we are not commenting further."
Watson, who stars in the upcoming live-action “Beauty and the Beast” remake, was threatened with a leak of nude photos back in 2004 – an incident she said held no merit because the photos did not exist.
An equal rights advocate and UN Women Goodwill Ambassador for the past few years, Watson participates in events including International Women's Day and running a global feminist book club.
