A Facebook Marketplace deal gone wrong left a Wisconsin woman pepper sprayed, robbed

RACINE, Wisconsin — Police say a woman who tried to sell two iPhones in Racine, Wisconsin, was pepper sprayed and robbed by two men in the parking lot of a fireworks business. Officers are now looking for them.

The 35-year-old woman told Racine Police she negotiated a deal through Facebook Marketplace to sell the iPhones to a potential buyer. They agreed to meet at Phantom Fireworks in Racine County, Wisconsin, to complete the sale.

When they met face to face, the woman told police one of the men pepper sprayed her and the two ran off with both iPhones. Police believe the robbery was planned.

The two suspects are described as African-American males in their early to mid-20s. The suspect vehicle is a newer model black Chevrolet Silverado, extended cab with a Tonneau cover and chrome bumpers.
