SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- Saturday, the Drug Enforcement Administration is encouraging people to dispose of their prescriptions for National Take-Back Day.
According to the DEA, 6.4 million Americans in 2015 abused controlled prescription drugs.
The study also shows that most of the abused prescriptions were obtained from family and friends often from a home medicine cabinet.
