SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A motorcyclist was severely injured when he ran a red light at a Normal Heights intersection and crashed into an oncoming car, police said.
The 52-year-old rider of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle blew through a red light on westbound El Cajon Boulevard and struck the passenger side of a Nissan Altima coming off the Interstate 805 offramp shortly before 8 p.m.
Sunday, San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros said.
The motorcyclist suffered an open fracture to his left ankle, Delimitros said. The 33-year-old woman behind the wheel of the Nissan was not hurt.
