LAKESIDE, Calif. (KGTV) - A motorcyclist is making a plea for tips in hopes of finding the 4 strangers who he says saved his life.
A week ago Sunday, around 9 at night, Ray Estrada was headed home from a family gathering when he says a car clipped the front of his bike, sending him flying into the middle of Winter Gardens Boulevard in Lakeside.
Bleeding badly from a leg injury, Estrada says he tried to crawl to the curb but stopped about 15 feet short.
"I saw 4 young men come out of nowhere. One held my left hand. One held my right hand. One cupped my head. One took out his own belt and held it around my leg to stop the bleeding," said Estrada.
Estrada, an Army veteran, ended up at the hospital but never saw the men again.
"I believe if they hadn't shown up I would have bled out," said Estrada.
He's now hoping to find the men so he can personally thank them. His family posted details on the Facebook page East County Emergency Updates.
"I'm so grateful for giving me a chance at life. They are amazing human beings," said Estrada.
