Motorcyclist decapitated in San Bernardino crash

Posted

A motorcyclist was beheaded in a freak accident on a San Bernardino street, according to a published report.

San Bernardino police told The Press-Enterprise the crash happened Tuesday morning after a driver lost control of his Ford Taurus, causing the car to hit a mailbox and take down a utility pole. The downed pole sent wires onto the road, police told the newspaper.

The motorcyclist, identified as 27-year-old Fabian Zepeda, was traveling on the same street and rode into the path of the wires. It was at that point in which he was decapitated.

According to The Press-Enterprise, the driver of the Taurus was not arrested, but the case will be reviewed by the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office.
