CHULA VISTA, Calif. (KGTV) -- A motorcyclist died Monday night in a crash at the intersection of 4th Avenue and H Street in Chula Vista.
Police said the collision happened around 10:15 p.m. Officers at the scene began CPR on the motorcyclist and later transported him to UCSD Hospital.
The 37-year-old man died of his injuries at the hospital.
The driver of the Volkswagen Passat involved in the crash was not injured, remained at the scene, and cooperated with the investigation, according to police. The passenger of the Volkswagen sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
A witness told police that the motorcyclist was traveling at a high speed when the crash happened. The Chula Vista Police Traffic Division is investigating.
