SAN DIEGO – Thousands of San Diego Gas & Electric customers were without power in several neighborhoods north of Balboa Park Thursday morning.
The outage was reported just after 10 a.m. in the neighborhoods of North Park, Hillcrest, City Heights, University Heights and Normal Heights, according to SDG&E. The cause was unknown. At its height, 12,888 customers were affected.
As of 12:20 p.m., power had been restored to all but 1,871 customers in City Heights.
No further details were confirmed.
