SAN DIEGO -- A moped rider died late Monday night after he rear ended an SUV in Bankers Hill.
The collision occurred at around 11 p.m. in the area of West Laurel Street and First Avenue. According to San Diego police, the driver of the SUV told officers he was in a turning lane when the moped crashed into the back of him.
The moped rider was taken to a nearby hospital, but later died. The two occupants of the SUV were not hurt.
