UPDATE (5 a.m. Thursday): Carol Nass was safely located at about 3 a.m. Thursday. Police did not disclose how or where she was found.


SAN DIEGO (KGTV) -- San Diego police are asking for the public's help in finding an 85-year-old woman with dementia and heart problems.

Carol Nass, 85, was last seen leaving her home on Viacha Driver in her blue 2012 Ford Festiva. The car has a California license plate with the number: 6VKD125.

Nass was on her way to De Anza Cove with her Chihuahua, "Patron," according to police. She failed to contact her family and her cell phone was off. 

Family members say Nass takes medications for Dementia and heart problems. She is known to frequent the De Anza Cove and Tierrasanta area. 

Nass is described as 5'5" and 100 pounds with blue eyes and blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a blue sweater, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.
