SAN DIEGO – A minivan crashed into the side of a gun shop in San Diego’s Bay Park neighborhood Thursday morning.
The collision occurred before 5:30 a.m. in the 1500 block of Morena Boulevard, just north of SeaWorld Drive. Witnesses reportedly told San Diego police they saw the minivan ram into the building twice before the driver ran from the scene.
This is the second such incident in the past two days in the San Diego area. At around 3 a.m. Wednesday, a pickup truck crashed into the armored front doors of a gun shop in La Mesa and the driver fled before officers arrived.
In that case, police were unsure if the driver intentionally rammed the front doors in an attempt to break in. Police have not confirmed if they identified or located the suspected driver.
