Saturday, May 27:

Wreath Ceremony at the U.S.S. Midway Museum

This free event will include a commemorative wreath presentation by veterans, active-duty and youth, a fly over, live music and a moment of silence for the fallen.

Candlelight Vigil at San Diego Veterans Museum and Memorial Center in Balboa Park

Animals for Armed Forces adoption event (May 26-29)

Sunday, May 28:

8th annual Women of Valor at Lipinsky Jewish Arts Festival

Six women will be honored. They’ll tell their stories with live music, poetry and imagery.

Veterans Memorial Service at Miramar National Cemetery

Brig. Gen. Russell A. Muncy will be the featured speaker.

Memorial Day Ceremony at San Dieguito American Legion Post

Time: 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. 


Mt. Soledad Memorial Day Ceremony honoring Gold Star families

6905 La Jolla Scenic Drive South

La Jolla, CA

Time: 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.


11th annual Memorial Day Celebration at La Vista Memorial Park

The ceremony is dedicated to military aviators. The keynote speaker will be John “Mac” McLaughlin, president of U.S.S. Midway Museum and the event will include the Navy’s “Two Bell Ceremony.”
