North Park manhunt for robbery suspect ends without capture

UPDATE (1:45 p.m.): San Diego Police said they have cleared the scene without taking anyone into custody.

SAN DIEGO - A manhunt is underway in North Park Friday for the suspect of a robbery, San Diego Police said.

Police responding to the 2800 block of Howard Ave. said the suspect of an armed robbery fled when he was approached by officers.

Police set up a perimeter in the neighborhood around Idaho Street, Howard St., Polk Ave., and Utah St., as they searched the area. 

No word yet if police have ended their search or located the suspect.
