SAN YSIDRO, Calif. (KGTV)--A man is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed while at the Beyer Boulevard trolley station early Sunday morning, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Two black men approached the 30-year-old victim around 1:56 a.m. and asked him for a cigarette, police said.
"The next thing the victim knew was he had been knocked out," according to Officer Robert Heim.
The man realized he had been stabbed when he woke up on the ground.
An unknown Hispanic man transported the victim to the hospital then left.
The victim was stabbed three times. His injuries are not life threatening.
Police did not provide a further description of the suspects.
