Man stabbed in head, chest in City Heights argument

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - A 34-year-old man is fighting for his life Sunday after he was discovered in a City Heights alley suffering from stab wounds to his head and chest.

Officers responded to a call late Saturday about a confrontation in an alley near the 4200 block of 45th Street, about a block south from Hoover High School off El Cajon Blvd.  Officers located the victim lying in the alley with stab wounds, Officer Frank Cali of the San Diego Police Department said.

The victim was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

Officers were unable to locate the suspect, who was described as a Hispanic man in his 30s wearing a blue or purple landscaping uniform.

Detectives from the Mid-City division of the San Diego Police Department are investigating.
